If it's being held in Australia it (The Test) will be almost definitley held at the MCG. It's the best ground in Aus and the renovations will be finished by then. If that article is correct then it's being held the same time as my birthday. I can see my birthday list;).

Quickly forgetting the place of your residence and the home of cricket.
There arent even any floodlights yet in Englands test grounds... (which can of course now be used to help in tests).. The grounds are lower capacity aswell... Im not sure how the practice facilities compare, but the pitches lag behind in England to those in Aus/SA... And anywhere where they charge an arm and a leg to get in, and then stop you waveing a flag doesn't deserve to be called the "home of cricket" in this era...

lets not forget the appalling weather......
I didnt mention it because it can't be helped.. But TBH the fact that there are international grounds with no floodlights, and full of stewards who couldnt recognize an international player if he walked in is pretty abysmal...

Sorry to break it to you... the Test is apparently being held at the SCG, and the three one-dayers at Telstra Dome. :)

The BBC says it's a 6 Day Test?

That's sounds wierd.
Probably to increase chances of a result. With a batting lineup of Lara, Tendulkar, Kallis etc. you can imagine that 5 days might not be enough!

Those one-dayers at the Telstra Dome would be so awesome. Close the roof and imagine the atmosphere!

MCG probably isn't availble due to ground works (installing athletics track etc) for the Commonwealth Games. Probably why the Melbourne matches are to be at Telstra Dome.
