Any of Trumper Hobbs Gavaskar Greenidge Anwar BRichards Hayden Haynes Smith Sehwag in no order. Missed a few for sure.
Overall across all formats i;ll take Hayden first choice if i need 1 for everything.
Tests: Hayden and Gavaskar. 6ft 4 LHB with a 5ft1 RHB. See if you can get your line and length right with the new ball with that combo.
ODi: Hayden and Gilchrist. Just coz it is a beautiful thing.
T20 Who cares. Doesnt matter.
Choosing one combo, i'd pay good money to go watch Hayden and Greenidge open in all formats.

There are certain openers that also give you an advantage of a 6th or a 7th bowler, which is handy in all formats. Like my choices were Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya.
