Here are the things I'd love to see happen soon...

PLEASE don't get angry with my theories as they are mine and well who ever doesn't like them can sucka lemon... Kidding.

• A tread dedicated to the teams Managers, to tell ever one who is managing each team. As it is continually changing lately. This thread should only be updated by G.B.
• A thread dedicated to each teams pitch conditions. As it is continually changing lately. This thread should only be updated by G.B.
• At the start of the season have a 'random' starting pitch conditions. Like if you want a high spin pitch you get a random score from 5-10, low spin 0-5 medium 3-7. This means you can't 'doctor' the pitch which has been done.
• Changing the pitch conditions should become more of a random thing, ie. trying to change the pitch from 6 to 7... could result in it jumping higher still to 8, or even dropping it lower.
• Rain. I don't know how, an example... look at the actual locations, actual weather on the Saturday, if it raining have a rained out One Dayer or lose a day in Four Dayers. (Really this is a pipe-dream.)
• Allow the trading of players mid-season. But this should have a penalty something like, moving their draft picks back a couple of positions or charging them fake money?
• A revamp of the points in both codes... ONE DAYERS - Bonus Points like in the recent AUS-SL-ENG series. FOUR DAYERS - Either give points like in the Pura Cup (6 WO, 2 WI and thats it) or like in Club games (0.01 a run, 0.20 a wicket + bonuses for game result)
• Redo the CA Cup, as we now have 30 teams... Have 6 groups of 5 - top goes through... second goes into repocharge to find the final 3 - to make it final 8? JUST A THEORY.
• Actually have names for the divisions, not just Division 1, Div. 2. Maybe The Pepsi Premier League, EA Sports Second Division... etc. Maybe?
• Let Tasmania win a league cup/plate. PLEASE!

• Keep the web site updated, I know this can be hard but hey it is easy to complain when you ain't doing it so... SORRY, you're doing a good job.
• Stop people making stupid threads that don't do any good, ie. This trade session has been horrible to navigate the forum as everyone is opening their own threads saying "I've got a player to get rid of" or "i need x." Instead of putting it in one area ie. "Trade Talks" or "Players up for trade". There really should have been more Personal Messaging less Posting.
• Let Tasmania win a divisional league cup/plate/throphy/bobby-prize ANYTHING!

That seems to be it for now...

I believe it is intended to remain knock-out and AFAIK the format for next season has been agreed.

The whole group thing would lead to a longer season.

Having read through that short list, I can see some good points and also alot are quite small and easy to impliment.

Website

Regarding the website I have explianed serval times why that hasn't been updated in a while, but that is all now sorted and due to the backlog that has bulit up Iam going to wait until the end of the season and go through and update every page.

Threads

As for all those threads eg tables once the website returns to normal and gets updated at least once a week is there really a need for all of these? On from that GB and Myself kept getting told there were to many topped threads ( excatly this point last season, during the draft ) So image we added your idea that would mean you would currently have 11 or so topped topics, does seem alot.. admitly during the normal period of the season this would be far less.

Mid Season Trading

Mid Season trading - alough a nice idea in theroy it can never happen while we use VC4, when you start a game/series VC4 reads a database file, and links to it permently.. as a result this casues 2 problems

1/ If you edit the file, you need to re-import it therefore losing all stats/information etc

2/ If you edit a file but just open a saved game it won't see the changes

And finally even if it did work it would be a complete nightmare trying to keep the teams updated each week, in the last week there are already 117 replies in the confirmed transfers thread, and remember there are many deals involding 2 + players

Rain

Rain - Nice idea and make the game alot more life like, but I can't see a way of getting that into a game, and then keeping everyone happy... your idea of using real weather would mean English teams would never play

Points System

Ok you want a new points system, but why? you haven't actually stated what's wrong with the current one...

It took a long long time for that points system to get agreed by everyone (not just the Board) inculding serval ideas like yours being rejected and to me the current one seems fair....

Well it's impossible for me to to stop people posting rubbish and/or meanless posts, all I can do is edit move posts about, but what you have stated as meanless posts you have created your fair amount as well.

first in the od there is no bonus points so this means at the end of the season we have nrr desiding a few winners.
bonus points are the way of the future

in the 4d the system only rewards high totals in the first innings(or low) but no points are actually scored for winning the first innings. seeing as the second innings is as important(if not more) because if its a draw no points are rewarded at all, there should be some sort of reward for the second dig and the winner of the first innings.

I agree that there should be bonus points in one day competition.If team 1 wins on a given day from team 2 but after that team 2 never loses any games and win at a better margin than team 1 in all its games and team 1 is also winning all their games then there is no chance for team 2 to go ahead.Team 2 will always be behind from team 1 for the whole season so if bonus pts are there then if team 2 gets bonus pts in every game then it can go ahead without waiting for team 1 to lose.

The idea of having threads listing pitch conditions and managers of the teams is a good idea as it will be easier to maintain then the website.

The idea about the pitch conditions changing sounds pretty good because in real life its pretty hard to get the perfect pitch.

Also i think bonus points for 1 day need to be implemented.

I agree with the 'managers' thread and 'pitch conditions' thread, but little else.
The group stage concept in the CA Cup is a good idea - similar to the World Cup. Gives teams more than a one off chance initially and therefore maintains interest for longer.
If managers can't hack a decent length season they should pee off. This season was too short already - didn't give managers enough time to assess properly the abilities of players in their squad.

I would be very surprised if any of the divisions get decided by NRR this season.

Division 2 cannot for sure, and the 2 teams topping the other 2 divisions look almost certain to win their last games.

You cant expect the league to be perfect in only its second season. I see you point though and hopefully these things will be ironed out in the future.
