With Collymore out and - presumably - Collins too, I think Bradshaw has to be in the test side for the New Zealand tour. I wouldn't expect him to be particularly penetrative, but Windies will need someone to provide a good degree of control.

I can easily see Butler slipping in ahead of him actually, which would be unfortunate. I think Bradshaw could be fairly penetrative in NZ conditions if there's a bit of seam or swing about.

I think Dwayne Bravo proved in Australia that it was more than simply good form that brought him success.

With regards to NZ wickets. They are alot flatter than i've seen them before. There will still be some assistance for the bowlers, but definately not exagerated like previous series.
If you ask me, i'd be looking to put in some bowlers with genuine pace, because If you look at the history of NZ batsmen..they really do struggle against guys who bowl quick more than seamers.

Edwards will be in New Zealand and they'll probably pull Tino along too, so there will be pace about.

Jamaica v Barbados

Jamaica 129 ao
Wavell Hinds 46 - dropped twice
Marlon Samuels 30
Fidel Edwards 3/26 - dismissed Xavier Marshall, Brenton Parchment and Shawn Findlay (first 3 batsmen) for ducks
Ryan Austin 2/1
Ian Bradshaw 2/34
Dwayne Smith 2/39

Barbados 102/3
Dale Richards 54 not out - remember this name...
Ryan Hinds 24 not out
Gareth Breese 1/13
Jerome Taylor 1/33

Guyana v Leewards

Guyana 267/3
Krishna Arjune 116 retired hurt - a sensational knock from all reports
Shivnarine Chanderpaul 52 not out - glad to see him getting some runs

by the way Liam, why are we remembering Dale Richards' name, apart from him have a quality surname he's 29 and isn't likely to do anything special is he?

Jeffers seems to be having a good run (too late for me to bother checking that I haven't made this up), but I've seen comment somewhere about him having a dodgy technique (bat coming down from 3rd slip or something similar). Can you shed any light?

EDIT: decided I would check the stats after all (Carib Beer batting 05/06) and Shane's at the top with 3 fifties in 5 innings - marvellous!

I haven't seen enough of Jeffers to comment thoroughly, but I've been impressed with what I've seen. He's a man who needs to start scoring hundreds though, like most young West Indians.

Trinidad and Tobago vs Guyana
Toss: T&T

Guyana 257/4
Ramnaresh Sarwan 113 not out (15 fours)
Shivnarine Chanderpaul 44
Sewnarine Chattergoon 43
Denesh Ramdin dropped Narsingh Deonarine on 0 and 10. He was out for 15 to a ridiculous swipe against Dave Mohammed.

Fingers crossed for Lara on Sunday...

did Dave get just the one?

I see Gooljar got Chanderpaul, apparently a neat stumping by Ramdin. How often does Lara get to play in these games these days?
