West Indies Championship 4-Day Tournament (2020)

Olay, I think that this is the best version of Gunnzie (Permaul) I have ever seen(ik from the same club as him). He's definitely lift his game up. There's more flight in his bowling. The arm ball is near Shakib-esque

Since assistant coach for us, Shiv Chanderpaul, is in India for some Road Safety World Series...Julian Moore has stepped up to fill the role. He was a former Under-19 batsman for Guyana.
Since Hemraj is out due to a quad injury, Tevin Imlach and Akshaya Persaud will be competing for the spot of opener to join Tagenarine Chanderpaul.

Beamer

International Vice-Captain
Watched a bit of T & T v Barbados yesterday. I really like Joshua De Silva, I think he's solid wicket keeper batsman. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get an A team call up after his success in both 50 overs and FC cricket.

I'm also 100% certain Chemar Holder is ready for his place in the test side. His second spell was great and he is getting people out with outstanding bowling, not bad batting. His two wickets were both left handers, one beaten on the inside with an in-ducker to hit the top of off, one beaten on the outside edge with an off cutter to hit the top of off. I can't wait to watch him in England. He's also hit a number of batsmen with short deliveries so he knows how to mix it up.

The election here in Guyana have made it difficult to follow this game. They should have just called it off.

The Leewards were 200+ for the loss of 2 wickets last time I checked in. .

Jangoo and Hodge both in their 80s

Jason Holder bowling with the pink ball to Shimron Hetmyer, who is opening the batting for Guyana Jaguars makes for mouthwatering viewing.

Three more over left in the night

If Hetmyer makes it as an opener, will they play him in the test side?
When he made his debut for Guyana, I think he opened the batting.
So it is not something strange for him. We can have a calm head(post the dropping) of a Hetmyer opening the batting for us in test...good for putting runs early on the board.

Cricket West Indies's Chief Executive, Johnny Grave said that a decision will be made shortly about whether to suspend the Regional 4-day tournament.

After cases of Covid 19 reported in Jamaica, Saint Vincent, TT. And Guyana...

TT have amassed 409 in their first innings against the Windwards.
Goolie with 138
Imran with 84
Kyle Hope with 54

Bowling for Windwards, Preston McSween the pick of the bowlers with 5/60 (25 overs), Dember with 3/125 (35.5 overs).

On the other side for Windwards , it's Kimani Melius and Devon Smith opening the batting. Youth meets experience. A good pairing. Lefty-righty combo.
