Paddles could turn people against the entire human race tbf.

Post-BBC message boards, I joined three forums - the TMS Taverners one (now defunct), World-A-Team (also now defunct) and Cricket24/7. It's to the credit of people like STT, Marauding Bison, Rey et. al. that Cricket24/7 was kept going so long by a bunch of dedicated people.
Was Jon also BigBirdKiwi (BBK) on the TMS Exiles board?

Hi all I have finally signed up for this forum. I was left “holding the baby” so to speak on 247. Really sorry I couldn’t keep it going but I neither had the tec skills or the time to keep it up. Look forward to chatting on here.
Good to see you around Chin, sorry I lost contact with you at the end of C247.

Good to see you too, Ali. Really hated those last few weeks. I did try to get it going again but just wasn’t able to. I see a few folk have made it here and thanks to MF for directing me here!

Cricket 247 was set up when the BBC boards closed many moons ago. It was run successfully for a long time and had multiple people helping to run it. Over time many of these folk weren’t able to continue to commit that time. Their expertise was lost and it became harder to service the board. I was essentially the last person standing in terms of up keeping the forum and I did not have the expertise or time to keep the board running and it stopped working around the turn of the year.

I had a lot of stats that are gone forever. ? Also over $600,000 unspent in the casino.

I miss the IR Bell,Pretty Little Fifties thread most of all as well as winding up a certain Somerset fan about the bowling speeds of Craig Overton and Lewis Gregory!
Missing the cyclical spin conundrum debate, although the Foakes thread here has potential

Lol, I wonder if Sans will end up making his way here? I am sure a spinners debate will ensue next winter with the India tour coming up with or without him.

Can’t say I really feel anywhere near as vexed over Foakes v Bairstow as compared to my enduring cynicism over the ability of English cricket to produce true quality spinners that exist in reality. And yes, I do see hope for Rehan but it is very early days.
