Webpage Suggestion

Hey All

To try and get a bit more involdment from managers.... the WCC Board, has come up with the following idea.

Remember this is completely optional

Each manager takes charge of their own team web page, that will then be linked back to the Offical Site.

On the site you can report lastest news and scores etc...

Add info such as ground details and if you like design your own kit for your squad etc...

Plus any other information you so wish.....

Rememeber once again this is completely optional so if your intrested, just leave a post so we can get some general numbers to see how popluar the idea is. If you do go ahead, once your site is up and you want to link it back to the Offical Site just leave your link here.

If I was to do such a thing, I need a bit more information. Who would host our 'team' site? What program would we need?

I am interested but I will need more info if I was to get any where.

Depending on the size of each site, we may be able to get Cricketweb to host it and then link it to the WCC site, if not then you could register with a free web hosting server, ie. Geocities, 20m etc...



If anyone is interested in doin this speak to me and i will be able to give u some templates to design your kit...

i would consider making one, but i already have a few sites and i probably couldnt be bothered updating it very often.

It really depends....

If you run Microsoft on your comp and have MS FrontPage then it's simple, as you type everything in as you would say in Word... and just click using the normal colour charts to set background colours etc... (Basically it's MS Word with some extra fetures)... It then takes everything you have done and converts it into web code which you can either upload the whole file or just copy the code across....

Excatly the same for above if you use GeoCities etc (but it's their own programme) but there are also some free web sites about that require some web know how.

Or for the really experianced people you can create whole sites using a simple word based document such as notepad (Cricket Web was done this way)

Or if you want me or GB to do it for you rates start at........

For people like me who have absolutley no knowledge of this, u can go to http://www.20m.com and register there...

To create a site there all u need to do is fill in the blanks with writing and other info...

VERY VERY EASY!!!!

Everyone is capable of creating a site now, with no excuses of it being to hard (thanks James )

Ok guys and girls

Create a site using just MS Word....All you do is create a regualar document in Word using text, colours, tables, pics and hyperlinks etc and when you save it instead of saving in .Doc you save as .html

(iam amsuing you all have Word here, and you can create simple document in it)

Then simply upload the whole file to a Cricket Web filemanager, where all you do is select the file and click upload (really that easy) You have yourself a site that's easy to edit and a cricketweb address etc
