i think that we should have NO ROOKIES THIS SEASON, and we should re evaluate after this season, depending on how players like Darden, Jenkins, Graham and Allen go

We have to have rookies mate. Perhaps though, only allocate one per team not two. But instead of just random generating, teams sholud perhaps be aloud to decide what they get?

There only needs to be two academy sides. I don't know why there were six. Two will generate, at best, five star rookies. If we were to have six academy sides, we would have a whole new generation of stars, like this season. Two sides is enough.

I totally agree with everything Rich said. It's too long to type up so for my opinion just look at his original post.

I think people are forgetting that the bowlers are also improving not just the batsmen. Like in FC i have 3 bowlers with sr's of 43 and under which i think is as unrealistic as batsmen averaging in the 60's. So hopefully the improved bowlers will even it out.

I think the rookie generating program needs a look in. Last season when the program was made the factors taken into account were % of batsmen bowlers and wks and a limit 4 the avgs.I think the program needs to be modified so that there are only say 2-3 players with super avgs and a lot in the middle range.

ok Heres the reason we have this problem, which has now in turn been fixed and from this season onwards it should be fine...

Last seasons draft was very much the cause of the problem, it allowed teams to trade draft picks, and the high flying teams with all the star players were able to trade off 1 of their good players or even 2-3 of their good players for one of the lower ranked teams 1st round draft picks, this in turn destroyed the theory that the lower teams would get the new rookies therefore everning out the teams. We have to look at it this way, if Mumbai didn't pick up ND's 1st rnd DP then maybe ND would have got Darden and the same if i didn't pick up Somersets 1st rnd pick then maybe somerset would have got jenkins and then things would have changed totally...
But now with the trading of DP's not being allowed it has given the lower ranked teams a perfect opportunity to get those star players coming through...

As for Muzza saying that 6 Academy teams is to much, the reason we had 6 is so that we could boost the averages of the original players who couldn't make the grade originally, in turn this would allow us to slowly decrease the ammount of new rookies which were entered into the game...

I hope this has answered a few questions, and i hope u all just wait out for a season or 2 to see how things pan out now that the lower teams have the advantage....

That means I'll probably just go along with a load of players who I can't trade, like most other Div 5 teams after this season. Well I'll correct that, I can trade them, they are just too valuable to me.
