Since we have got multiple test tours. If Murali was even born in India, he would have had more opportunities to present himself at a greater level, and could have got a better recognition. Warne other hand payed for Australia. and we all know tests played by Australia gathers all the attention. Murali lacked that opportunity and played only 6 Tests in Australia.

Sri Lanka got its test status in 1982. Took only 9 years to produce the World's best Test bowler and only 14 years to win a WC

look at where Bangladesh is. Still minnows and it has been 18 years

best achievement beating India in 2007 WC stage
