Based on how we lined up in Aus, the 4 quicks are fighting over 2 places, which is much harder to call! Not sure how much today will tell us, apart from putting Saj in 4th place, which we probably knew already.

Ussually SA cannot cope with alien conditions, they are not half the team once they leave thier shores. Hit Polluck for runs, the whole team becomes lame, if the wicket is a little slower thier batsmen have no clue..besides Kallis i have never seen anyone playing out a gritty innings against thier natural instinct.

Although they look BOOM BOOM on the surface, they become *****cats once Plan A doesnt work.

i disagree, not being good and being defensive are 2 different things...I think Eng is one of the most attacking team today in cricket..may be the most, if not for WI.

To attack is not score at a high rate, but to battle against the tide

Robotic, samey and boring side?

There's not much flair or style, there's Gibbs who has some of that, but Smith and Kallis... are just completely tedious. Then the bowling is worse, nippy right arm over, over and over... plus Ntini who's still right arm over but has a bit more life and flair. Half their team looks like it was just churned out of a mass production factory.

I disagree that Kallis is not attacking..i dont think hitting a bowler for 4 is the only way to attack..denying the bowler a wicket on a bowler-friendly surface is even more attacking.
Kallis is a fighter.
