Sportal comp is now up and running, should we start a comp in that?

I'd be game, but I clicked on the "public league" option & there doesn't seem to be a way to change...

looks interesting this year, have a whole new scoring system so its not as simple as before, also only a $2.5m salary cap but the players have low values so I think we will see a situation where everyone has a lot of different players. Has potential this year...

Looks like kickers will be the way to go. It seems you don't have to nominate just the one, so you can load up with as many as you can get under the cap.

I'm in the NNRL one it didn't cost us money, but we know the creator of the site and he's in our comp.

I actually think the foxsports one looks pretty good this year, seems slightly better then sportal, but each to their own.

Guys according to the forum for VNRL it's a chance it might not run this year, I'd really like to play a fantasy game a little bit more involved that the ones on offer. Would you guys be interested in having our own comp with our own rules. E.G I can set up some player values/positions for the NRL players and we go from there. I'm happy to take control each week of scoring etc... If we have at least 8 people interested in this then we can go ahead...

I was thinking of this as scoring options
Tries 4 points
Goals 2 points
Field Goals 1 point
Forward try (40 tackles and hit ups) 4 points
Halves try (40 tackles, runs, kicks) 4 points
Send off -4 points
Sin bin -2 points

Imo makes it interesting and keeps it simple, any other suggestions are welcome...

see the other thread, would be three or four rounds (depending on how many players teams have) of silent bidding to me via email and then straight out recruitment at the end of that...

well thats my team name, and thats the code it told me to put in to "get friends to join your league" so I'd say ur in the same league as everyone else here.

r.e the league I want to run on here, unlike Sportal and foxsports comps we will actually have a squad of around 25 players instead of just 17 or 18.

Instead of giving players values, I reckon you should just set up a draft.
