You would have Sehwag over in Anwar in ODIs when Sehwag is not even top 6 Indian opener . Just goes to show how over rated Anwar was .I would have Sehwag over Anwar in ODIs maybe.

Unfortunately for you , Sehwag played 70% of his matches in countries where it didn't swing much. And on those tracks he was light years ahead of Anwar.Sehwag averaged 20, 25 and 27 in NZ, SA and Eng.
Basically, if the ball moved, he was out.
Lol Anwar averages 74 in SL and 57 in India which is higher than Sehwag, plus 45 at home. Before Sehwag had debuted Anwar had already mastered Warne, Murali and Kumble. The only difference is that he didn't turn into a tailender like Sehwag once the ball moved and actually has more tons against ATG pacers away from home too.Unfortunately for you , Sehwag played 70% of his matches in countries where it didn't swing much. Anwar won't be even be shortlisted for any ATXI because his average against WI and SA proves that he couldn't handle ATG bowlers.
Imagine averaging 20 against Ambrose, Walsh , Donald, Pollock on Asian wickets. Simply not good enough to be selected in any ATXI anywhere.
anwar played 4 games in south africa and got found out. only reason his ATG average of 34 did not tank completely is because he did not play 8 matches like sehwag did. sehwag also has one test ton in south africa exactly the same as anwar.Lol Anwar averages 74 in SL and 57 in India which is higher than Sehwag, plus 45 at home. So you have one bat who has good records in almost all conditions versus the flat track bully posterboy.
So you love Kallis as much as you love Anwar?Sehwag had the better career but I'm picking Anwar in a draft.
I've picked Anwar many more times than I have Kallis because the former won matches. So you love Kallis as much as you love Anwar?
You are putting Ramesh together with Cook? LOL.anwar played 4 games in south africa and got found out. only reason his ATG average of 34 did not tank completely is because he did not play 8 matches like sehwag did. sehwag also has one test ton in south africa exactly the same as anwar.
also anwar played in eng against caddick, mullally and similar ATG 90s eng bowlers. sehwag mostly played clouderson and co
anwar extremely overrated. he can be compared with batsmen like sadagoppan ramesh, alastair cook. strauss etc, not sehwag
ok but shut up you tedious country manYou are putting Ramesh together with Cook? LOL.
Anwar in SA had one poor one off test in 95 and then an excellent series in 97/98 against Donald, Pollock and Devilliers. Sehwag averages 25 in SA and his only ton came batting at no.6 and with no Donald or Steyn, only Pollock. In fact, after that debut hundred, he was a consistent failure as opener there. One record as opener is clearly superior to the other.
In England, they both faced mixed attacks in a couple of series, but Anwar again has a much overall superior record. And Anwar has a good series against McWarne in Australia too.
you are the one putting ramesh in the same league with cookok but shut up you tedious country man
You’re mental. Anwar over Sehwag in ODIs any timeI would have Sehwag over Anwar in ODIs maybe.
Sehwag is underrated in ODIs given his high SR tho it's close with Anwar. You’re mental. Anwar over Sehwag in ODIs any time
Sehwag over Anwar in tests. Anwar was quality but his overall output doesn’t match what he could have been. Sehwag, until he badly tailed off, averaged mid 50s as an opener striking at 80.
I agree that Sehwag had a better test career output than Anwar and that is the only reason to put him forward though Anwar was a better batsman.
Despite the source, I’m extremely happy to finally be recognised as a decent poster. This is trolling game between me and @TheJediBrah . Request decent posters like you to not get in between.
He certainly was trolling when he said Sehwag bashed only mediocre bowling on flat Indian wickets. Sehwag averaged around 70 in matches involving McGrath, Murali, Akhtar, Steyn on Asian wickets.
Hardy har har...Today I learned that someone with the better output isn't the better test batsman.
Better quality by having same number of test centuries outside Asia as Rishabh Pant lol.Hardy har har...
It's just the same thing as others have been saying in this thread.
Better career vs better quality.
Imagine hyping a guy who has less number of centuries against SENA countries in their home than Rishabh Pant? You are putting Ramesh together with Cook? LOL.

He doesn't though. And you can use the same silly argument against Sehwag.Imagine hyping a guy who has less number of centuries against SENA countries in their home than Rishabh Pant?
