That’s too much.Sehwag is closer to Gavaskar than Rohit in ODIs.
Gavaskar infact has a higher average despite Era (not just adjusted), and his SR was pretty normal for his time (Greenidge, Haynes, Turner, etc have similar SR). Sehwag is much better ofcourse, but I don't rate him particularly highly. Think Dhawan is definitely better. On the otherhand, I rate Rohit borderline Top 10 Ever. So I stand by what I saidThat’s too much.
Do you believe this?Jayasuriya & Gilchrist are closer to Gavaskar than Rohit in ODIs.
No. Because I rate Jayasuriya and Gilchrist significantly higher than Sehwag.Sehwag was similar to Gilchrist & Jayasuriya.
Do you believe this?
I don't agree with that, but don't think it's necessarily too Wild. As an overall player, I do too.My father legit rates Jayasuriya ahead of Rohit (I'd like to continue the legacy as well)
It depends on what you want in a batsman. My father legit rates Jayasuriya ahead of Rohit (I'd like to continue the legacy as well)
I love Sanath and even have him in my ATG team but he was given the player of the tournament for his all round performance and not just his batting.Jaya was MoTS in 96 and was practically a trendsetter with his aggressive style of batting.
I did not watch the great Viv bat.My father legit rates Jayasuriya ahead of Rohit (I'd like to continue the legacy as well)
If I were to be given a choice between Jayasuriya, Gilchrist and Sehwag, I'm never choosing Sehwag. Someone of Jayasuriya or Gilchrist, depending on the team formation. It depends on what you want in a batsman.
If you want an aggressive batsmen, you can choose Sehwag, Jayasuriya or Gilchrist.
If you want an accumulator of runs, you can choose Haynes, Rohit or even Amla.
Yeah, most of your takes are wilder than that.I don't agree with that, but don't think it's necessarily too Wild. As an overall player, I do too.
Wasn't my point really. His primary was still batting though. Jayasuriya in many ways revolutionized the attacking game and has a hefty long career. His adjusted average I believe will be significantly higher than Sehwag.I love Sanath and even have him in my ATG team but he was given the player of the tournament for his all round performance and not just his batting.
Go and request DoG to publish the adjusted average of ODI players. Be a bit responsible.Wasn't my point really. His primary was still batting though. Jayasuriya in many ways revolutionized the attacking game and has a hefty long career. His adjusted average I believe will be significantly higher than Sehwag.
I am not denying his impactJayasuriya in many ways revolutionized the attacking game and has a hefty long career.
