Tendulkar level, in other words. So those who started comparing him with Tendulkar were right.Like 53ish at least

In ODIs his chasing prowess probably won us more games than Sachin. Can't be understated how god tier a chaser he wasNah he was never close to Sachin in tests. He may have had the potential, maybe, but that’s a really tough ask.
He touched his level in ODI I reckon but then yea, needs a great World Cup instead of beating up on Lanka every other year.
If he was averaging 53-55 until now, I would say he would be a good competitor for Gavaskar level.Nah he was never close to Sachin in tests. He may have had the potential, maybe, but that’s a really tough ask.

The opposite actually. When Kohli scored, particularly abroad, that meant India was likely going to lose.If Kohli was still averaging 55 after the pitches that India has produced the last few years then he would be better then Tendulkar.
Can't put it into stats but Kohli has this match winning spark, similar to what Brian Lara had, which Tendulkar lacked.
Real shame to see his Test career plummet like it has.
Viv and Kallis had it as well. Can't put it into stats but Kohli has this match winning spark, similar to what Brian Lara had, which Tendulkar lacked.
as much as i want to say that it isn’t Kohli’s fault he selected those teams and led them so **** himThe opposite actually. When Kohli scored, particularly abroad, that meant India was likely going to lose.
Happened in SuperSport Park, Edgbaston and Perth all in the same year. He has very few matchwinning tons abroad.
Tendulkar was a 59 average batsman then thoughTendulkar level, in other words. So those who started comparing him with Tendulkar were right.
It’s really just been the last two years that’s been really bowler friendly in India imo. If you go back to like 2016-2019, it was actually pretty good for batting. I think South Africa (and possibly England) has been harder to bat in over the last six or seven years. When was the last time when one particular country was consistently as hard to bat on as india of last 6-7 years?
I honestly can’t think of any.. You probably have to go all the back to pre-WW I era..
Yea but the Indians were still racking up huge scores. I reckon those are still possible, we’ve seen Pant, Ashwin, Rohit, Jadeja etc all do it. The problem is when 2-5 all **** their pants you’ll only ever get to 300 most times instead of 400+Start of consistent Indian sporting deck was with SA tour in 2015.
I still remember the whole controversy surrounding that series.
Adelaide 2014.The opposite actually. When Kohli scored, particularly abroad, that meant India was likely going to lose.

Which has resulted in winning…what exactly? Can't put it into stats but Kohli has this match winning spark, similar to what Brian Lara had, which Tendulkar lacked.
