Kohli wasn't about as good as KW from 14-19. He was much much better

Disagree.Kohli wasn't about as good as KW from 14-19. He was much much better
Depends if he can still catch tbph.Anyway since 2020 Williamson has been 30+ runs better than Kohli. I like Kohli, but he wouldn't even make the current NZ team ahead of Mitchell and Ravindra.
scoring buttloads of runs at home is also what every good batsman has done ever. There are a few outliers but most aussie and indian greats have similar imbalanced records. The point has already been made, but...Kane has reached a point where CW analysts are giving him nil credit (or even negative credit?) for literally winning us test matches and series, because it's being done at home or in particular overseas countries where he has a history of doing well. Like, there isn't a point where this ceases to be valuable. The more he does it, the more impressive his home record becomes, the more dominant he is in his favoured conditions = the more credit he should get. He has become stupidly underrated because of this jaundiced analysis where the actual bulk of his career and his achievements gets written off on the basis that "he's done it before", as if that's how cricket works.
So yeah I guess tl;dr analysis by checklist bad right
Perhaps give him the keeping gloves and bat him at 7.Depends if he can still catch tbph.
Yeah and if (as I suspect he is, without re-checking the stats) KW is a GOAT-tier home batsman with an all-time imbalanced record, then he deserves GOAT-tier credit for said home record. It doesn't somehow become more of a negative the better it gets.scoring buttloads of runs at home is also what every good batsman has done ever. Against whom did those away numbers come? That isn’t reflected in their records. These are their records from 14-19.
Kohli: 58.71 overall and 48.32 away/neutral
Williamson: 61.95 overall and 57.05 away/neutral
Kohli was arguably better but there’s not much difference between them during this period.
For Williamson?Against whom did those away numbers come?
For Williamson?
I think he played against India, Australia, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe during this period
Skipping tours to the West Indies and Bangladesh? What a fraud. For Williamson?
I think he played against India, Australia, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe during this period

Honestly he would, just for the publicity. NZ could make money off a testDisagree.
