I'm just gonna keep spamming this for everyone's acknowledgement.

1. Woakes
2. Jadeja
3. Warner
4. Rubel
Others don't matter.

Very interesting. Kohli loses most ATVG Test bat comparisons.

With opener tax how exactly is Greenidge behind Kohli? Both had great peaks too.

How many players have ended with a higher average than they had on their 36th birthday? It’s going to be very tough for Kohli to end up above 50.

Ask and ye shall receive. (in order of runs scored after turning 36, min 1000)

Misbah, Gooch, Boycott, Younis, Shiv, Dravid, Hendren, Lloyd, Waugh, Sangakkara, Bradman, Hassett, Nourse, Graveney, Rogers, Hussey, Woolley, Compton, Gavaskar, Edrich, Rowan, Houghton, Barrington, Lamb, Paynter, Voges, Mitchell, Wright and Jayawardene.

So quite a lot actually.

tbf tho of that list only Nourse and Chanders managed to improve from below 50 to above. The rest never made it to 50 or were already above 50.

And on the other hand 4 players dropped from above 50 at 36 to below. Phil Mead, Joe Hardstaff Jr. (English cross WWI and WW2 guys), Samaraweera and Worrell.

Root looks like he probably will. Kohli’s probably hinges on this B/G trophy.
Would be very surprised if either of them did it tbh but it’s harder to predict with Root since he’s only 33 and hopefully has 4 more years. Kohli needs a massive home season to do it. Interestingly, Kohli was actually averaging 50 when he was 33 like Root.

I think Root will end with like 51-52 at the 2027 Home ashes, Kohli Idk honestly, I assume he is playing in England...I reckon that will knock his average down I'm afraid but let's see, I think he'll retire from test if India wins the WTC.

One sucked in Australia, other didn't. One has an ATG peak, other didn't. One has multiple ATG series away, other doesn't. This one I don't think is particularly close, at all.
I'd say the 1976 and 1984 England tours are pretty ATG, atleast one is.

I’m predicting like 48/49 for both. Both are great players though regardless if they average 50+ although they will probably be underrated by future generations if they don’t.
