In tests

Kohli more of a series monster
KP more of a single innings monster

honestly post Lara (outside of Smith who is on a level of his own), Clarke and KP I think were the players most capable of innings that no other player in the world could play but f me he was inconsistent. could never pull off a 4 ton series like VK in 14/15.

who was better?

Kohli. More proven on bad wickets v pace and was averaging mid-50s after the same career length as KP.

Yeah it’s Kohli. Feel like KP didn’t achieve what he could have whereas despite his decline I feel Kohli has got every drop out of his talent

If Kohli ends his career with an average of below 45, will he be considered better than Pieterson?
Pietersen didn't play long enough for that. I don't think he'd have declined this bad but we don't know for sure and Kohli had a much better peak.

Greenidge opened, averaged 50 at the end of his peak and had a very long career. Greenidge v Kohli might become debatable if Kohli just keeps sinking.

Is it really that probable? Think he will end up retiring or maybe dropped if he fails in the BGT.
Even if scores zero runs in all 10 innings, his average won’t drop to 45.

If he scores less than 200 runs in 10 innings, his average will drop below 47.

So yeah, not probable. And even if he continued after that theoretical 10 duck's series, he still would get some flat deck somewhere, right?
