Good post, but I was under the impression that the sub is only allowed to complete the original set of 10 overs allocated to the person he is replacing, so that if a bowler had bowled ten, then the sub couldn't bowl any.
Err yeah, quite right, which is another reason why an all-rounder would be a bad move.

SJS, a party might be a smidge out of the realms of possibility.
Yes I realise that but I meant things we can do here. I thought I would do on my "Hear hear lend me your ear" thread an article to prove that Vic (who "works" for me on that factory :D ) was a better bowler than say Vettori or even Bishen Bedi. But gave up thinking other such articles in that thread were actually being sarcastic.

But I am sure we can think of something.

Like a welcome-back thread with everyone bringing bouquets of flowers or some such thing ??

Think, think !! :D

I sure hope we haven't scared him off with this thread, cause it's probably exactly what he was trying to avoid.

There was a thread in CC recently about first-class cricketers, and I don't think anyone owned up to it if we do have any at all. SJS got pretty close I think

It intrigues me how he keeps getting stuck on first change during the powerplays!
He's the team whipping-boy, they're all jealous of his super-star status so they try and ruin his figures by bowling him at bad times........

It's anti-Victorian bias, duh! Do you not read posts by the Victorians on here?

It is Jagmohan Dalmiya and Ganguly's way of getting back at Australian Greg Chappell. It is reported that Indian Umpires have been instructed not to give any LBW or other close decisions against the Aussie U-19 teams best bowler !!
