Good post, but I was under the impression that the sub is only allowed to complete the original set of 10 overs allocated to the person he is replacing, so that if a bowler had bowled ten, then the sub couldn't bowl any.

Err yeah, quite right, which is another reason why an all-rounder would be a bad move.

Yes I realise that but I meant things we can do here. I thought I would do on my "Hear hear lend me your ear" thread an article to prove that Vic (who "works" for me on that factory ) was a better bowler than say Vettori or even Bishen Bedi. But gave up thinking other such articles in that thread were actually being sarcastic.

But I am sure we can think of something.

Like a welcome-back thread with everyone bringing bouquets of flowers or some such thing ??
