My thoughts exactly. We now have three sheet-anchor one-day batsmen: Dravid, Kaif and Rao. Seriously, we can't afford to have more than one of these guys in the lineup at the same time, and we all know which guy that should be. Thank God for Yuvraj, Raina and the 5-bowler approach.
Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni, Pathan, Powar, Harbhajan, Munaf, Sreesanth is fine. Keep Kaif and Rao on the bench or in the A team.

I didn't watch the match yesterday, but had a fair idea from reading cricinfo commentary, so i am thinking Rao yesterday had a poor day even with captaincy...

I didn't like the point of not getting more part-timers to bowl earlier, as we knew from the start of the match that our fast bowlers are leaking runs.. he shuld have tried something, he tried himself, but it was a bit too late.. But agree with u adhrcric, he was not good with batting atall.. he couldn't lift the tempo atall..

Sodhi, Dinesh Kaarthick and Rohit Sharma are easily better OD batters than him. But Rao should be given a shot in tests whenever the opportunity comes up.

Frankly, Rao has a lot to learn when it comes to OD's. The selectors should keep him out of the national one-dayer side until he improves at A-team level. As for captaincy, he can only do as uch as he could, and it's too much to ask when your top bowlers are leaking runs like never before, to expect a part-timer to work wonders, and to his credit, Sodhi actually broke the partnership. Until he improves upon his strategy as a batsman, he should stay in India A.

That wierd *** Hasan Raza top scored again in that match. He loves everything but top level games...He has so much potential. What a freaking wierdo.
