The bowling picks itself but I did think on Steve Stolk (2006), George van Heerden (2003), Richard Seletswane (2005) & Dewan Marais (2004) but I need to see more from them at professional level.

No Rocky?

Was watching a bit of Notts on Friday. Farhan will squeak up the batting order from number 10.

Cricketer Of The Year
Assuming this squad would be for a red ball game

1. Sam Konstas 2005
2. Nivethan Radhakrishnan 2002
3. Campbell Kellaway 2002
4. Hugh Weibgen 2004 (C)
5. Harry Dixon 2005
6. Cooper Connolly 2003
7. Lachlan Shaw 2002 (WK)
8. Jackson Sinfield 2003
9. Tom Straker 2005
10. Jack Nisbet 2003
11. Callum Vidler 2005

Ollie Peake 2006
Joel Davies 2003
Tom Whitney 2002
Campbell Thompson 2004

Tried to stick to those who have already played some level of professional cricket already (all except Thompson have in at least one format, but I wanted a left arm quick as an option, Mahli Beardman and to a lesser extent Charlie Anderson fairly stiff to miss out). Would have also liked a seam bowling allrounder in the top 6, but there isn't really one that jumps out

Gary Stead would likely insist that our players had to be at least 25 years old to be good enough for the U23s so I suspect we wouldn’t be allowed to attend.

I was going 50-over cricket because I think it's such a good format for young cricketers. You have to still be adaptable to situations on going on the front-foot or absorbing pressure as batsmen & bowlers also need to be flexible in getting batsman out and dealing with batsman coming hard at you up front or at the death. But I'm cool for the red-ball game as your process for selection.

One thing I think will never change with you guys & us is the pace factory.

Weibgen looked awful batting in the Big Bash (not red ball, I know). He's obviously rated highly but reckon he's a long way off.
