And Laxman has the rare gift of pwning Australia with unsettling frequency - three consecutive series and counting.
Hmm no didnt he have a pretty poor time against them in India in 2004  , certainly he was supreme in 2001 and 2003/04, and played one magnificent innings in 99/00, but last time they kept him quiet

International Coach
Ricky Ponting, Phil Jaques or Michael Clarke, i think out of these three one could emerge as the highest run-getter in this series.
Ponting's in great form so he could rip apart the Indian bowling and somebody like Jaques is just a run-machine this guy likes to score and score big and i think the Indian bowling would just suit him fine and as far as Clarke is concerned he has always enjoyed the facing the Indian bowling and he is also Australia's best player of spin and he could do well against the Indian spinners and pile on the runs.

I say Hussey. India will have more of a plan for Ponting and concentrate on him more whilst Hussey will just pile on the runs.

If India are going to get two bats every test, I'd back Laxman to get most runs. However if Australia also get two bats every innings, hard to go past Hayden, he just loves playing the Indians...

LOL at the amount of people who have picked Ponting.

Currently Ponting is in 11th spot out of the Australians.

And from the 5 Indians who have batted twice, he's behind all of them too!
