Ambrose more accurate than McGrath? Gimme a break!
there has never been a more accurate bowler than ambrose....michael atherton would tell you that he never bowled one bad ball in the entire summer of 2000

What characteristics would you want in the ultimate perfect bowler?

I suggest........

The legs of Curtley Ambrose for bounce

The fingers of S.F.Barnes for bowling leg-cutters at pace

The strength of Jeff Thomson for pace

The brains of Richard Hadlee

The stamina and heart of Dennis Lillee

The inswinging yorker of Waqar Younis

The outswinger of Fred Trueman
All the above plus the variety of Murali and Warne put together :)

All the above bowled with the final frog action of Paul Adams and a runup as smooth as Mike Holding. :p :p

andy roberts played for west indies in the 70s and 80s
Wasim akram was pretty good at intimidating as well

merv hughes I would not put in that category, since he could not abck it up with fearsome bowling, I remember him trying to intimidate azharuddin in australia and then went onto bowl repeated deliveries on the leg side, which got dispatched for four. Same thing with wasim Akram, he tried intimidating Wasim Akram, and then Wasim Akram went onto hit him all over the ground for his most memorable innings in austrailia.
