The Test-only players ODI Draft

RED HILL picks Bruce Mitchell.
Thanks mate. Yeh, Bruce Mitchell for me. Felt my batting was a bit light, so Mitchell and Morris at the top of the order will give us good starts most of the time. Handy bowler of leggies also.

John Waite to keep wickets for me, of course. Class gloveman, and a more than handy batsman to come in the lower order. That tail looks quite good now, which is nice to have in any 50 over game. All the way down to 9 with Cowie being no mug with the bat either and the likes of Rhodes and Waite coming in at 7 and 8.

Not sure how I ended up having a number 8 with 36k FC runs and a number 9 with 22k, but eh, I'll roll with it.

Bill Brown to bat in my middle order. He played a few tests there and frankly him and Hutton up top would bat too slow. I want Tallon to come out swinging, get quick runs or get out and then let McCabe come in and blast

English all-rounder Trevor Bailey, mainly for his accurate fast-medium bowling. Even though he was known to be dour with the bat, he's more than handy coming in at no 8. & really strengthens my bowling attack at first change. A genuine allrounder and one of the few to have a higher test batting average than bowling.

Bob Barber
Attacking left hand batsman to come in and do a Maxwell type role

Bob Barber, a cautious amateur with Lancashire, changed counties and became a carefree cricketer with Warwickshire. At Edgbaston Barber blossomed into a feisty attacking left-hander, strong on the drive and pull.
