Lose my bowling for this season and start next season with minimal bowling stats, perhaps using club cricket/grade cricket for any potential improvement?

Will answer with the team list

H Mørk (OP Bat WK) - played forty-odd Tests, scored about twice as many runs for the Reds as anyone else. Captained the side for 3-4 seasons to utter mediocrity, and has now decided to take a more laid-back role after a horrific season last year. Mildly anal about non-ASCII letters. (That'd be me)
M Luff (OP Bat) - somewhat pigeonholed as a OD specialist, he has fought to take the opener spot in FC with some decent knocks. Played for CW 'A' in OD cricket iirc. Luffy on the forums.
DA Kearsley (MO Bat) - former Test player who saved our bum last year with a truckload of runs. Could be in line for a recall following the restart. Kears_falcon_some_random_digit on the forums.
JJD Heads (MO Bat - RM) - enthusiastic batsman who debuted last season, though stayed mostly at grade level (the second tier now abandoned due to lack of simmers). Athlai on the forums.
SJ Singh (MO Bat - RM) - veteran of the forums (SJS), here a middle-order bat whose seamers were slightly overused last year.
M Rapp (MO Bat - RF) - hopefully an entertaining newcomer, presumably a Flintoff-style player. metallics2006 on the forums.
LJ Goff (MO Bat - WK) - attempts to usurp the veteran (i.e. me) wicketkeeper, suspect he will be the OD first choice and get some FC game time during internationals. Blewy's been around for ages and already retired one player in the game.
MJ Robbins (MO Bat - RMF) - marc71178 built the Reds - captained for ages and played on for even more ages - retired when marc left the forums about a year and a half ago, so MJ Robbins jr. has come in and will try to find a spot in the middle order
C Dinnen (MO Bat) - that'd be the furball itself.
KR Clapham (LMF) - enthusiastic seamer who has, sadly for himself, found more success in the OD arena. As we had a number of seamers taking wickets last year he had little opportunity, but with the shake-up he could be useful again. Clapo on the forums, and as you can see, one of the figures who tries to rebuild the red rubble.
DM Kennett - Big Chief (RFM) - played about thirteen seasons of the stuff, knows where it's at. Taken about 600 wickets for the Reds. David on the forums, the new captain.
MU Amir (RFM) - strike bowler par extraordinaire, he took 96 wickets last year...at 40. Economy rate somewhere between Mohammad Sami and Bryce McGain. Had an encouraging rivalry with silentstriker until the latter slunk away with tail between legs. nightprowler10 on the forums.
SV Raghav (RFM) - another one on the production line of seamers. We don't really want to sign more as they're all moaning about lack of playing time. Raghav's that rare beast, good in both forms.
MP West (RF) - freckleslol on the forums. Came in midseason last year and found a spot on the team immediately. Quiet chap, prefers to let the wickets talk.
D Watt (RF) - almost as many wickets as the Reds, he hangs around and occasionally comes back to slag off a Black or three. aust_hitman on the forums.

Sure about Raghav? Think he has a pretty ordinary OD record (average around 50 after 10+ games)

About the perfect summary otherwise though :)

So, plenty of competition for a middle order place then.

Looks like a solid bunch of blokes, looking forward to the start of the season.

Pre season BBQ at my Gofftown mansion, I'll be on bar duty.

Discussed with Clapo, we've decided against Marc taking the spinning option. Feel it wouldn't be fair as we've signed you as a seamer. From a team stand point it would certainly be better, however we'll just have to struggle without a spin option. We're the new WIndies of the 80's.

official announcement

As you already probably guessed Clapo is officially Vice Captain, and Kearsley and Luff are the other two members of the leadership group.

Any queries etc can be directed towards us, you can catch me on email at gmail dot com under dravaal.
