Some f*****g guy bought Bradman to the discussion. He isn’t even in the question.Nobody was so dominant and without anyone being close to his level in the history of team sport like bradman, and it’s a
That ****ing guy was me. And you need to calm down!

People have provided strong cases for and against cross-era comparisons. And this has been a good discussion barring a few posts where people are just claiming things without trying to provide their reasoning or logic behind things(and that's OK too).

And this thread has given enough content to someone who wants to write an article on this topic  A lot of CWers are very thorough at research and debates.

Adorable Asshole

International Regular
The only reason SF Barnes isn't rated as the Bradman of bowling is bcoz he has taken 189 wickets only unlike Dhyanchand who is still the highest goal scorer ever in hockey.
If SF Barnes had more wickets than Murali at an average of 16 then he would also be hailed as the GOAT.
No people don't rate Barnes that high because he was a minnow basher and his average without minnows is comparable to other ATG bowlers from other eras.

International Vice-Captain
This summer felt like the first time we'd seen Smith look human again in England for a decade, although he struggled in the last Ashes in Australia too. Perhaps he is on the decline.

Will always have to respect his weight of runs but can't say I'll ever like him, he's just so ****ing ugly to watch.
