As I said earlier, making comparisons like that is alright to an extent. For example, I compared Pathan to Akram because they had similar styles of bowling initially. I also compared Dhoni to Gilchrist because they had similar attacking modes of batting. The problem comes when the bastard Indian media gets serious about these comparisons and hypes these guys up to ridiculous levels. Really is disappointing that there are so many tools in the subcontinent that get fooled by these idiots in the media.
You mean Pathan won't be the next Akram? :-O

Jamshed's delivery is awesome in that video, but what Anwar Ali did against India is downright freakish. Not sure whether its the conditions or his talent, but a lot of his deliveries were unplayable.

Just a comparison between Anwar Ali and Jamshed Ahmed based on what I have read on Cricinfo and elsewhere. Anwar seems to have just the in-swinger. He is a great exponent of it, but playing in Pakistan, that won't get you far. He extracts more swing than Jamshed, but the latter has more variety to his bowling, and seems to be a smarter bowler. Many Pakistanis are very excited about Jamshed, but I hope that these comparisons with Akram don't put him under too much pressure.
