So by saying this, if W.Hegg didn't retire and somewho remained in WCC even at the grand old age of 70, he'd be a star.

The retirement program won't allow that I'm afraid - and most players will be gone by the age of 37, but it is worrying that these players may retire when they're playing better than ever.

Yeah. A 26-30 year old would have a better chance of making 250 in four dayer than a 37 year old because he would be fitter. The 37 year old would find fatigue a big factor, while the 26-30 year old would be able to press. This should also be looked into.

Perhaps, a suggestion, in India, conditions are hot and ****ty so players comfort levels aren't exactly great. So perhaps they chances of a batsmen making highs scores of 200+ would be lower, while in places like England, and New Zealand where the conditions are more player friendly, players could find it easier to go on for the big knock, etc.

I propose that we have a vote for who wants the new sim and who doesn't
LOL NOT A CHANCE IN THE WORLD....

Sriram has put alot of effort into this and also the fact that VC4 is full of Bugs, and this game has no real bugs makes it not even an option and to suggest to do so is just silly...

OHHHHHHHh oh well the only reason i want to see it not there is cos it's destroying F Rickman. He's my favourite little man and he's getting annoyed that he won't be as good nymore.

Look guys i know alot of you are dissapointed at how some players are changing BUT look at it this way...

VC4 as many would know has a HEAP of bugs and with us using it so often we are finding more and more all the time...
Now i know you have not got the WCC Sim and cannot see 1st hand how good it is but compared to WCC this game is like comparing paper and Gold...

I agree that a few tweaks to the experience etc could be made and i will speak to Sriram and a bit more testing we may be able to see a slight change...
Also a look at the 4th inns scores like Rich said...

This is all a time for making suggestions as to what you can see in the results...

hmm well i think it is time for some more test friendlies to be run :) the more friendlies that are run the more we can see how the experience factor affects the players etc

A minor problem that I have with the sim is the scorecard output. Is there anyway that we could have a more reader-friendly output?

Reality wise you are 100 % right. But strategy wise it cud be a bit better to have the old men continuing their form since it could lead to an interesting conundrum for the manager. They could retain the oldies as long as they play but with a risk of them retiring any moment.
Just my point put forward. If the general consesus and GBs decision is tht 33+ shud decrease their ability then so will it be.It cud be done in a couple of minutes.

Personally i think there should be some type of old age decrease but i also think that quality players like S.Waugh have shown they can play some of their best cricket at an old age, so maybe we could make it the TOP players don't decrease much but the average jo blow decreases a bit...

Walsh too.

I think that it has to be the same sort of thing for both youngsters and old(sters?:P). They will have a dimished performance level, but it shouldn't be too drastic and also, there must be exceptions. For eg in rl, Waugh and Walsh would be exceptions.

yeah i agree on this...

Like has been said before alot of the old guys will retire by 35 anyway but if a good one or a dodgy one creeps through then they could feel the effects of the diminished ability...

ok seems to be the general view....Ill add this...
Avg players get affected by age after 33 the good ones can maintain their performance...I think there needs to be a definition of a good 1 here its 48+bat av in 4 day and 37+ in 1 day
Bowlers 47- in 4 day and 33- in 1 day.Hope this is all cleared up now.

What about the youth players? Are you leaving it as it is?
I think even if it is then there will be only a slight increase in favour of the youth...

I have asked gb for a list of changes tht he wud like me to do...If he says yes then it will be done...he has the sim so he can test it extensively before he decides anything....
But rest assured ALL changes will be duly posted in the forum in a NEW post so tht noone can miss it.
