Tino Best

In the 2003 Carib Beer Cup, Tino Best was statistically the best bowler of the tournament. He claimed 39 wickets in 9 games at 18.25 apiece and a SR of 29.1. Best was picked to make his debut on a dead Kensington Oval pitch against Australia in 2003. He went wicket less while conceding 99 runs at 4.95 economy. Despite the poor figures, Best looks to be a talented prospect for the future.

He has a bustling action and generate very good pace (90+ average in the Carib Cup). The main concern is his accuracy, and he tended to bowl too full on debut. Best returned in 2004 with a further 37 regional wickets (13.75 average) and bowled himself into all four Tests in the West Indies against England.

Lively pace and great enthusiasm found Tino best quickly becoming a success of his return to Tests. Best later debuted in One Day Internationals against Bangladesh and took a wicket with his first ball.
