With Hadlee and Imran around, Marshall was never the undisputed best. Cummins has Bumrah and Rabada but with respect, Cummins is clearly better than both.

I think they were the best for a period each but I guess the time Sanga was best in the world as a bat would be after Ponting's decline by when Murali had retired.

Be a decent argument for Lillee and G Chappell around 74/75 but I don’t think Chappell was that clear cut as the best around that time in tests as Smith is now
