ok i have done the spread sheet for the player of the year points...
know do you want me to just do it each game or do we need to get the selectors and club captains involved on voting as well and then majority gets the points...
i am happy to go through each score card and allocate points based on performance. i will be professional in the handing out of points and will hold no bias votes.

R.J. Malone - 7/10 - 40 + 22 + 1 Catch - Not spectacular but not dire either.
A. Lezama - 5/10 - 6 + 2 + 5 Catches - Dire batting, but alright behind the stumps.
N.G. Scott - 7/10 - 46 + 1 - Shame didn't quite get the half-century and didn't fire in the 2nd innings.
A.J. Garven - 6/10 - 2 + 24 - Disappointing start to the season given the pre-season form.
M. Corrin - 7/10 - 37 + 26 - Good starts in both innings, would love to see him carry them on.
D.Y. Dubb-Lynch - 6/10 - 9 + 22 + 1 Catch - Would love to see him do better, but his injury has put a delay on that for the time being.
B.C. Cunningham - 8/10 - 22 + 13 + 2/40 + 4/30 - Batting was as good as most the specialists and the bowling was good.
X.P.A. Rose - 7/10 - 8 + 47 + 1/45 + 1/61 - Bowling was overshadowed by the 47 was crucial in the context of the match.
P.G. Gundry - 7/10 - 38 + 17 + 1/33 + 0/20 + 1 Catch- Showing signs of being an all-rounder, didn't get much chance with the ball as the pacers did the work.
A.A. Cameron - 9/10 - 1* + 16* + 5/30 + 3/72 + 1 Catch - Hit the winning runs, was gun with the ball.
M.T. Mitchell - 7/10 - 0 + 12* + 1/46 + 1/40 + 1 Catch - Wasn't used much but took wickets, helped secure the win.

Mat Mitchell spending too much time with Matt Pitt, needs to learn how to be mean again. Tell it how it is, no need to be so nice in the ratings, players wont learn anything that way.

Yeah he's got a point. If you're going to do ratings, there's no point in doing them like that. Gives players no indication of their performance. I mean 5/10 for less than 10 runs from two innings? Sure, he kept alright, but jeez.

i would have given myself a 2 for that performance, not the start i wanted to the season.

Good to scrape home with a win in the four dayer boys, Cameron must have done his strike-rate wonders in the first innings
Disappointing about the one-dayer but the bowlers still created enough chances with alot of lbw shouts not going our way and the batsmen put in a very commendable effort to reach 278, definately have something to build on imo
