Will be interesting to see how Scott goes from here as he has a good recent record in majors and is an excellent front-runner

He needs to make sure the Shark doesn't give him a rousing motivational phone call on the third evening

no one has needed to be so far...:)

Yeah, just assumed with the weather we've been having, it would be blowing a gale, still could happen. Mind you Rose and Johnson were crap anyway.

Good looking leaderboard though.

Tip for anyone who wants to sound like an expert during the Open Championship:

When engaged in conversation with someone who is talking about the Open, listen to what they say and reply with 'well that's links golf for you'.
If you're looking at it on TV you could add - "He'll be looking to punch this in low".

If you really want to piss off everyone around you say, with authority, "I don't think he thought he could reach that bunker from there" after whoever you're talking about has just knocked it into the sand next to the green with a wedge.

Good to see Scott at the top of the leaderboard, 64 is the same score he shot in the Greg Norman Junior Masters at Coolangatta Tweed back in around the year 2000, and he went on to win that by 16 shots.

Good to see Aaron Townsend at The Open. Lovely bloke. Had a hit with him in the NSW Open pro-am a few years ago.

He shanked one into the George's River at Liverpool GC.

There's nothing funnier than seeing someone shank it on the course I reckon. If you do it yourself, however, the next shot is a ****ing nightmare.

It looks like it's playing more like a US set-up from the little bit I've seen, which might help the Yankee Doodles. Balls landing just past the flag and pulling up/spinning back a bit. Probably has a bit to do with the weather they've had there recently I'd imagine.

HaHa - In Canada when you want to sound like an expert about the NHL playoffs you usually use the line 'the real season has begun' used best during the first round obviously.

Scott still playing beautifully but he has left a few shots out there on the last 2 days and I hope that doesnt come back to burn him

Fancy GMac if anyone else - not the most talented but seems up for the fight

Scott's title to lose now. Personally hope GMAC wins it but think he will finish 2nd.

Be ironic if Scott wins and Tiger has blown it with caddies and all that.

Scott dropping shots but maintaining his lead, the pack is bunching up though - so increases the chances one of them will have a run somewhere and gain some ground.

Feel like McDowell has had his chance and ****ed it a couple of times. Scott may fall over the line by just cruising along.

Tiger had a mare today but managed to compose himself again.
