I've got a feeling it won't be that interesting at all. Seems he's just bummed around for 12 years. I guess it would be nice to know how often he picked up a golf club, but then I wonder if that kind of info he can safely release.

I feel a bit dirty, but I'm currently watching the LIV Golf. I seem to be one of just 11k doing so on the Youtube Channel. **** me the graphics are dreadful, like The Hundred on Meth!! I used to like Feherty but he sounds really old and past it now. There seems to be about 50 people watching the AK Group, but literally no one (and I mean NO ONE) following the likes of Koepka, DJ or even Rahm. Growing the game??? It's worth noting that whilst you do get to see a lot of shots, there's almost too many. If you keep on cutting between players it's hard to get any context of what's going on.

Kim looks like someone who's just turned up for 18 at the local Muni after a heavy night. He's currently +1 through 4, although everyone else is tearing up the course. I'll watch a bit more (especially as Kim has just hit a vicious hook off the next tee), but it's not something I'll be going back to.

Nice cold top from the middle of the fairway on his first hole was a good start. His swing with the driver looks pretty gross, duck hooked one on 4, big push that he saved with his hands on 5, pretty grim. Short game looks solid though. He's doing better than I was expecting, not propping up the leaderboard yet

Attendance isn't unexpected either, the European Tour events in that part of the world get basically no crowd either, the heat definitely won't help. 32 degrees in Jeddah today, I wouldn't fancy standing around a golf course in the sun all day.

Stream's pretty horrendous to watch, like watching Kevin Dunn WWE with the amount of jump cuts. Guess it's tricky with the shotgun start format, there are SO many players on the course at once and all your big names are on the course at once, it's impossible to follow. I hate it. Also hate the forced cringe Team stuff. The fact the leaderboard on the website defaults to the team leaderboard is horrific.

That was quality - although decent 12 footer holed for bogey. He now has just 2 players below him and he's played 2 par 5's.

Also, the incessant music. WTF???

The Shotgun start format was supposed to be a selling point as you can see everyone on the course in 5 hours or so. I don't think that's what golf fans want. When they're spread out through the day you get far more opportunity to pick and choose how to follow.

I also think the DPWT crowds are way bigger than this, especially those with the big names playing. Instead of grandstands they've got garden pergolas!!

I probably won't be downloading that app. Doubt it's better than The Masters one.

Not sure what the thinking was behind changing that 10th hole to a par 5, but interestingly it averaged less as a par 5 yesterday to when it was a par 4 last year. Having said that, wind due to get up next few days which should be a leveller.

Cole may not be the best World 36 of all time, but he'll be playing the Masters - haha Talor!!

What people don’t realise is that you can’t make a $ in professional golf unless you can go 5 under every 2nd Wednesday

Kim has probably been snorting coke for a decade but it doesn’t make any difference to his talent

Not sure I buy that. I've recently become friends (daughter's mate's Dad) with a guy who was a scratch golfer as a kid, tried to turn pro. He then suffered health issues and barely played for 20 years. He's now starting to get back into it, I've invited him for a round in 2 weeks. He reckons he's off about 6 at the mo, will be interesting to see how he plays.

I've also just drawn the Club Champ in our knockout comp. It's not often you get more shots than your actual handicap (he's off -2).

Meanwhile, Kim has turned very messy since that birdie.

I've stopped watching. He's now +5 which is about 7 shots worse than the average and 13 shots off the leader Meronk.

He was old & sick but plonked a good first grade bowler onto the roof of the grandstand

Cole had a stinker, it happens. I doubt Kim will get much better than that, and he has no incentive to be either. What kind of Tour has a man shooting +5 as its best pulling power?

The qualification criteria for the elevated events caused unrest from the outset but Tiger & Rory fobbed it off by telling others to play better

Adam Scott is one of my favourite golfers

Good guy, former Masters champion, one of the biggest money winners in history, finished top 50 in OWGR for 23 consecutive years etc

Unfortunately, he’s not qualified & is relying upon sponsors invites to get in the field while ignoring lower ranking events

I can understand the sponsors inviting him, Scott for taking them up on it AND other golfers for being pissed off

Niemann is rapidly becoming a pretty divisive figure. Decent golfer yes, but he needs to stop moaning about the OWGR after he wins. He just won $4m more than Eckroat on the PGA Tour and the Masters have bent over backwards to give him an entry spot. You took the money you dope to play 54 hole exhibitions in front of next to no one.

Wondering how many more invites Kim will get, he's a long long way from being competitive. That surge of interest he gave LIV didn't last long. I hope he was well paid for it....

Kim's got a wildcard for the whole season, so would anticipate him playing most events this year (except the US ones maybe). Started poorly again today, but isn't DFL this time. Beating Lefty by 4. He's back

This is the kind of fortnight when I wonder if the LIV guys ever ponder their decisions? They're pissing about in HK whilst the PGA has a signature event at Bay Hill followed by Sawgrass. When you think about DeChambeau's iconic assault on the 6th at Bay Hill (I don't like him but boy was it great viewing) and various infamous moments from the 17th at Sawgrass.....
