Best finish to a tournament I've ever seen. Rickie Fowler put in the performance of a lifetime. The way he was going at pins on the back-nine and in the playoff was exceptional. Has anyone played 17 on a Sunday as well as Fowler? That approach on 16 was incredibly brave too. Superb performance. Seems to have been good for the tournament too, 3rd best Sawgrass TV ratings in a decade. Over-rated? Ha.

Rory's -11 was amazing. Going down to Wentworth for the weekend this week, so hoping to get a good look at Rory's swing up-close. Pretty excited, going to be spending quite a while down at the range watching the guys warm up. Can't wait to see how good these guys are in person!

a 2nd tier tournament and not a lot of top players around and guess who is in the lead...jimmy walker...you can't give it to him yet but for as good a player as he is, it is weird how disappears at big events and keeps cleaning up at the smaller ones...

woods shoots 85...feel really bad for the guy but he is done...no more majors for sure...it would be a huge deal if he wins another tournament...

that chip he it which went backwards. And then his next shot going into the bunker in front of him. Oh man.

He looked so sad.

Tiger needs to play more. You can be hitting it as well as you like on the range, but there's no substitute for regular tournament play. Playing every 5 weeks just isn't going to cut it for Tiger. Chambers Bay is going to eat him alive if he plays like he did last week.

Gregory Bourdy looking class in Austria. Just moved to -12 through 32 holes with just 1 bogey on the card. There's some seriously talented French players on the tour right now!

sure he needs to play more and he can certainly improve, in fact the only place to go from here is up...but his "process" has been going on for several months now without any significant improvement (ok so he is not withdrawing and actually making cuts now but that is a loooong way away from contending).

Not sure how anyone can pick a definitive winner at Chambers Bay. The course setup means it's an absolute lottery. That being said, I think Spieth has a good chance. Playing great golf ATM, and his caddy has extensive knowledge of the course and should be a massive assistance. Should be great watching, but can't see anyone going low!

well the fairways seem to be wider than usual u.s open venues and if the usga keep the pins somewhat accessible, we could see under-par scores...

I'd be surprised if the winning total is -10 or less. I think it'll be a -5 to -7 winning total. I'd be amazed if anyone goes really low. We have the following holes:

7th is a 508 yard par 4
11th is a 537 yard par 4
13th is a 534 yard par 4
14th is a 546 yard par 4

If any of those are playing into the wind, we could get some big scores. Also, the greens look ridiculously slopey, you seen the video Bubba put online? A few difficult pin positions and it's going to be incredibly tough.

Do you play? I've been playing about 2 years now, and absolutely love it. Lessons are really starting to pay off this summer. Have gone from shooting 100 to 105 in Feb and the start of March to shooting rounds of 86, 86 and 87 in the last couple of weeks. Shot 87 on Sunday and felt like I played great. A few doubles really hurt me, but getting so close to my target for the summer of breaking 85, though my coach thinks I should be aiming to break 80, which would be unreal. Got GAME Golf at the start of the year too, and absolutely loving it. Giving me great stats, and it's great being able to track my rounds. Here's my round on Sunday:

A couple of poor holes converted to bogeys away from breaking 85. Happy getting my driver away 297 on the 18th too :-)

The course looks so ****ing hard (I mean physically hard, not difficult [although it's obviously also very difficult]). I think it will put some money on a couple of the Aussies and the Texas guys., based on the conditions.

I started playing about nine months ago and had my first lesson a couple of weeks ago. Hitting them much cleaner following that. Best score is 77 last week. Starting to actually hit some greens in regulation which is such a massive help.
