Thought the wind at the moment was a souwesterly? Forecast is mostly sunny?
Mark my words, young man.superkingdave said:Thought the wind at the moment was a souwesterly? Forecast is mostly sunny?
Probably along the lines of 'Marmite bowler, you irk me' etc etc etc - but it's a dangerous ploy.Don said:104 for 4 well were going good.what the hell was collingwood thinking.if chanders was a bit quicker we would have had another one.
I've been saying for some time that Lara is an under-rated fielder. That's the second amazing one-handed catch he's taken in that position for the year.luckyeddie said:I just thought that was a regulation 'put away' by Flintoff, four through midwicket but no. A superb catch by Lara. It's now important that Trescothick plays a big innings.
I don't see what he'll offer really in Tests. He'll keep it tight no doubt, but doesn't have that much pace or do that much with the ball to warrant a specialist spot in the current West Indies attack. I'd go with a fit Pedro Collins first.Nnanden said:go bradshaw, he should be getting a go at tests...
england are doing quite well for the pitch! strauss` run-out was needless really, bravo is an awesome fielder.
Except Gayle is the only "spinner" we'd use in the first 15 and he's a notch above crappy.Scaly piscine said:I just hope if Trescothick gets in he doesn't do his usual getting-caught-out-to-the-crappy-spinner-to-one-of-the-only-2-men-in-the-deep whilst trying to 'exploit' the 15 over restrictions.
fair call i guess, except i was just so annoyed at their lack of competitiveness against england (in tests) i wanted him to have a go so badly, try something new. england are dead-meat against left arm pacers after all... Collins and Bradshaw to open?Mr Mxyzptlk said:I don't see what he'll offer really in Tests. i honestly rate collins, i think hes pretty good, hes got some good pace. ill never forget his wicket of elliott on his test debut, beautiful ball.SupaFreak2005 said:yeaaa sure ...... have you been hit on the head lately?
Collins has been outstanding among our bowlers this season. Stop dwelling in the past and watch the cricket.SupaFreak2005 said:yeaaa sure ...... have you been hit on the head lately?
