The FINAL- South Africa vs India (D), Kensington Oval, Barbados-- June 29th

Nah. If Klaasen was there they could have still scored singles and then pounded the last two overs. They literally just needed two boundaries in the last three overs plus singles to coast to victory.

Losing him lost all momentum.
The over before Klaasen got out went for four runs, that upset his rhythm and made him chase the wide ball that should have been left.

It was a bad ball from Pandya which got an even worse response from Klaasen

A bit of anti climax from shastri during the final moment. He could not really hit it like bishop when carlos brathwaite won it
To be fair, it was a meandering over. Nothing spectacular was going to happen except India winning it. Like in NFL, in the last 90 seconds we already know who is gonna win it.

Better than Waqar and 3rd best from subcontinent if he maintains the quality till the end of his career.
3rd best from subcontinent? Who are the top 2? Wasim and....

I think he's 2nd best. Maybe just behind Wasim for now. If he maintains his quality, he's probably going to be best in the world.

Shaun Pollock sounds flat.

Cheer up Polly at least South Africa have made some progress, they have gone from choking in cricket semi finals to choking in cricket finals.

No, I love Wasim but given the context, Bumrah is a better LOI pacer than he ever was. Bumrah is doing Wasim-level unplayability but against modern bats on batting friendly wickets.
But then you also need to factor in relatively mediocre techniques of modern day batters too. Not only technique, but the old school patience of grinding it out for 2 days and facing 500 - 600 deliveries is rare these days.

Either way, Bumrah will certainly rank among 10 fast bowlers of all time.

I am talking LOIs, not tests.
