The CW Cup: battle of the association football teams

Ok, a merry Christmas to one and all. :) Apologies for the late update but was out seeing in the birth of our saviour in the time-honoured fashion; in the boozer with me mates.

Celtic have just too much for plucky little Macclesfield, triumphing in the end by 12-9 & DCYE's vote was the decider in the other tie: Werder Bremen edging out the gallant Accies 11-10. I'd obviously have backed the lower-league teams in both ties.

Right, Xmas day sees the last two ties of the opening round:

61. Wellington Phoenix v 62. Mamelodi Sundowns

63. Colchester United v 64. Hallescher FC

The two powerhoses of rugby union go head-to-head in the round ball code and the pride of Essex face German challengers from the depths of their regional tiers.
