It would be funny if it wasn't for the fact it'd probably be our best List-A bowler

edit: also, prefer batting at #2 if possible please. I don't know why it makes a difference it just does

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Side named for our opening match versus Blue.

A couple of obvious changes from last season.

Griffen is inactive and has been replaced by Bosco Fitzsimmons who started his career well last season at number three, but showed great promise opening in the pre-season matches.

Law has retired and replaced by Dan Rai, who is fairly dire tbf but we have no other openers in the squad. In all seriousness, Dan has been with us for a while, mainly on the sidelines, and converted to an opener to help us out and will get his shot at making this spot his own.

Dan Towns regains his number 3 position after a fairly ordinary season there last year that was ended by injury. As our most senior batsman, he will be crucial for us.

Butler is the incumbent number 4, and our star (international) batsman. Pure class.

Kerr sees himself promoted a spot after two terrific seasons at number 6. Hopefully he can continue his great start slightly higher in the order.

Fjermestad replaces Jasotharan as wicket-keeper and big talker in the side.

Wilson slots in at 7, same as last season, as our premier all-rounder. Hancock comes in at 8 where he batted excellently last season, giving us a deep batting order, and he'll provide us with a 5th option with the ball.

Weber is the lone spinner in the side, will be looking for a lot more wickets this season compared to last where he bowled well without dominating.

Wright and Thomas take the new ball yet again, as one of the best bowling combinations in CW history. Hopefully this season they'll both fire at the same time, which will be needed if we want to win the title.

To those not picked, do not fret. It's a small matter of waiting.
Players will get deemed inactive over the season, get injured or simply lose form and that's when you'll get your chance.

Interesting to be in the side but not keeping, not all that unhappy but happy enough to have a chance to make the opening position my own.
