I'm looking forward to hopefully breaking into the team. I need to improve, well, everything first, but it'll be good fun, some good players in the Colts. Never realised how many quicks were in the team. :o

Can I just ask who would be interested in opening in the FC games? I know we have Jaso and myself from last season as well as our new lad, Pitt, all ready for OD opening if required, however I also know that I tend to get my big scores when batting at #4 in FC. With Mamesh gone and no other players excelling in that area from last season, we'll have to keep our eyes open for FC openers.

Might give it a go, But I know my scores come best at 4/5/6

If it doesn't work, well, find someone else, I suggest you swap between the 3 of us to see which works best.............

Maybe a couple of pratice matches?

Well Towns as you know I've batted everywhere from 1 to 11, so I'm a bit of a jack of all trades with the bat. I can open or wag with the tail.

I'm willing to open in FC, too, if necessary - my FC average in club cricket this season is almost double that of my OD average anyway. I'll do whatever it takes to get in the team, boss.

BTW, The only time I bowl is when I'm in a keepers XI, it wouldn't make sense otherwise, I'm only on my batting, It's nice to 3 wickets to my name, but that's not why I'm in, I have to make runs to keep my place!

And I belive there a certain player that is really hungry. Aren't ya Burkey, I'm sure we'll both make the team, just keep at it

Everyone will get their games and as the season develops, obviously those in form will keep places and those out of form may lose them if there's someone available to take their place. This is a team game, and the team isn't just the eleven on the field, it's the entire squad - we'll all do our best to earn our spots, and I'm confident we'll all get decent game time in at least one form of the game, just like last season.
