I'm sorry to inform you that I'll be out the door. I never thought I'd leave but the move would allow me to get more closely involved with everything which is something I've been trying to do for a while. I've enjoyed my time here and I'll always have a soft spot for Blue but I feel my personal involvement and enjoyment of Dev League would be increased if I left. I wish you well for next season and beyond, and I look forward to getting Bowen out with my part-time pies.

FFS. I understand where you're coming from and know that you're all good blokes, but I just can't bring myself to accept it. Gutting that all of you would walk out at the same time, without the slightest consideration for the team.

Yeah, frankly, slightly dire from myself. I'll admit that. I've given it serious thought though (Bowen to confirm I was talking about this ages back) and while I did consider staying on given the batting exodus, I thought I'd be cheating myself by doing that. Ultimately Dev League is what you make of it in terms of enjoyment and I think I'll be able to get more involved elsewhere.

I'd like to leave on good terms but if it's not possible, I understand why. I'd be pretty pissed off with me if I was in your position too. As I said though, I'll still be cheering you on whenever I'm not on the opposition, regardless.

Like I said, I completely understand where you're coming from. The prospect of playing for a team with an empty clubhouse doesn't exactly fire me up either.

Yeah, pretty much. I've had a couple of decent seasons on the field but my contribution here beyond that has been pretty limited despite being here since the dawn of time. There's an opportunity for me to do more off-field stuff, so to speak, elsewhere, and I think it'd really add to my enjoyment of Dev League.

Not too certain on the future of the Blues now, as dramatic as that sounds - but with people leaving, retiring, not signing in, and a general lack of numbers for the current teams .... could there be an amalgamation on the cards?

Honestly reckon Teh needs to make posts in other parts on the forum. Look at all the other captains, they have forum members joining up to play with them because they get along in CC or OT.
