I wasn't having a go at you. Was just agreeing with Liam and stating my opinion that Blue is a champion team and not a team of a champions ie: no one is bigger than the team etc.

Never said you thought you were, either.

:)

All the best for your future, either team that is :) Always welcome here.

I'm not too fussed if thats the way you guys are viewing the move. Your allowed to your opinons.
But basically Green have been at the bottom of ladder in FC atleast for the last couple seasons. Personally I don't see how they are meant to get off the bottom of ladder unless a couple 'better' players move over to their club. Basically similar to what happened at Colts a couple season back when Simon, Butler and Wilson moved over.
This seems to indicate a different attitude:

Silverware tbh isn't a big thing for me. Yeah it is nice winning trophies and championships. But yeah need a different challenge to lead a batting line up.
It just doesn't sound like the attitude of someone keen on helping his team win anything.
The salary cap IMO has made little difference in keeping the competition even.
I've said this so many times already, but here I go again. A salary cap will never keep any sporting competition even. There will always be a team pulling into the lead. Heck, teams win points toward their salary cap for every title/trophy they win! The point of the salary cap is to keep teams from getting too imbalanced.

I'm disappointed that the most successful partnership in CW history is being broken up for no great reason.

Ah well, all the best Thamba-wamba. Expect to be sledged hard on your return to Blue....:p

I think wanting to assist the weakest FC team is a good enough reason to change clubs. Being way too harsh on the Mameshmeister.

Pfft. 293 runs less from 11 less innings with more 100 runs stands (despite the 11 less innings) and more runs per partnership. I'd take Smith-Arnold any day of the week.

Nah, I have no problem with someone wanting to help a weak team achieve success. But he said outright that the team's success isn't very important to him. Because I presume all teams are aiming to win titles and silverware.

I said winning titles isn't everything, not that it is not important to me. I don't even think anyone at Green would honestly think that one signing going to take them from the bottom of the ladder to winning a championship. I would have thought being competitive and winning more matches would be the first goal of Green. Then maybe in a couple seasons when their youth based side has got more experienced they can push for titles. Success doesn't come overnight, you need time to build a side.

But honesty how do you think they can improve as team, if some high profiles players don't move over their team to help them.

We have an exemplary disciplinary record too, role-models I think is the phrase.

It's just that when you stated that point along with, essentially, wanting to be the star/leading batsman in a team, it gives a definite implication. "Titles aren't everything, but me scoring loads of runs is."

Tbh, you at Green in Season XIII probably would have taken them to the final. Especially considering that Blue would not have had your services. Because Green was competitive without you. Blue and Colts just had better starts, so it was hard for Red/Green to catch up.

The Wheel is Forever
My goal is to be the leading wicket taker this season. Even if I have to break the legs of every other bowler Tonya Harding style.

When are this season's contracts being negotiated?
Waiting for Liam to announce something.

On that note, wouldn't mind all the blue guys emailing me their intentions for next season. ie: happy to stay, not happy, etc etc etc

Don't really want any more random surprise Mamesh cases popping up.
