Well... Maybe you'll have to wait in line for a bowl when the real cricket comes around next season.... In fact, I'll keep asking you to warm up and then get someone else to bowl :p

Take that!

And party.

Looks like I'll be converting myself into a batsman then in "real" cricket ...

Just because I averaged 0.33 with the bat two years ago, doesn't mean I can't hang around. One of those innings lasted at least half a dozen deliveries.

So looking at our teams for the finals last year
FC

Smith
Arnold
Cloete
Blackman
Armstrong
Chaulk
Richards
Borcich
Patrick
Pickup
Davis

We went with an extra bowler in the final iirc, and that might be a consideration this year, the plethora of pace options seem too many fighting for 2 spots, but set against them is that only Borcich can bat and he's really a number 9, he's okay at 8 but with 3 rabbits below him the tail looks long. Its a big problem really but one of our big problems was bowling teams out twice last year. We might see us only playing one spinner at some points, but that again would weaken the tail. Be interesting to see what happens in the end.

OD

Stedman
Chaulk
Cloete
Blackman
Armstrong
Smith
Congdon
Gelman
Su
Pickup
Patrick

The top 6 is as is and still looks immensly strong. Gough was injured for this one iirc, he goes straight back in with the final place up for grabs. We have options on the bowling front (Smith, Davis) but that again leaves us with a worryingly long tail, none of our options who can bat a bit seem much cop with the ball. Perhaps we can find a lower order player in the remains of the draft.

Regardless of cricketing ability, we really do have the best bunch of ****s in this squad. Good bastards to a man.

We lack a backup keeper (I'm currently doing the duties) and a backup spinner. Having the two best spinners in the country helps though.
Pretty sure I changed my status to wicketkeeper a few years back. Cramps to confirm.

Happy with the signings of Burgey and Volt. Good to see us keep up the proticol of only recruiting quality human beings.
