It's not bad here, not bad at all, although there are some completely humourless and clueless people dimbling about. You get them everywhere I guess.
I think its known as "Yorkshire" ..

PS.. Like the outspoken-ness... Could do with some politicians/ICC people like that...

I think I walked right into some very patriotic debate regarding India & Pakistan at the time if memory serves & managed to upset a few people...........

:D
I don't think there was much patriotic India Vs Pakistan debate on this forum. It was more on India Vs England . Ind Vs Eng WC match was the most anticipated match on this forum i think :smartass: . Thankfully India won that match :thumbs_up

there were various debates going on re 911 etc & there were hostilities brewing in the Kashmir at the time....

I made some observations / comments on the subject & was quickly & plainly told under no uncertain circumstances what my opinions were worth as because of my background & location I had no hope of having any idea as to what the situation was about - bottom line I got told I had no right to either get involved or to have any opinion etc..........

Back in the early days of October 2001, and even before then, I hoped that Cricket Web would make something decent.

2 and a half years down the track, 1500 members. Times I thought that we would never reach it are all forgotten now as the site has reached an important landmark.

Thanks to all those involved - fellow staff, forum members, visitors who choose not to post in the forums - for helping make CW what it is. A site that I enjoy very much and hope to see prosper in the future.

Take a bow, James. It's been fun
Amen to that - from someone who was there at the beginning.

For those who don't remember, I wrote that ****-poor excuse of an editor for Australian Cricket Captain. That was pretty much my last contribution to CricketWeb, that about two years ago.

Anyway congrats to all involved at CricketWeb for their 1500 members.

From #11 :D

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
I searched for a cricket forum on google in December and have loved the place since. Havent been active at all for the last two months which isnt a great record considering I joined so recently.

Cricket is probably the only sport which can have so much lovely discussion on so many intricate details and yet remain so simple.

Same goes for Cricketweb.. awesome and indepth.. yet simple.
