It won't. As it stands, Vaughan has never been a prolific run-scorer in One Dayers anyway. It's crazy to expect him to up his average and concentrate on being captain as well.Mr Mxyzptlk said:

First Class Debutant
For someone of Vaughan's ability/talent, his ODI record is quite ordinary. I suspect it will only take one big score to boost his confidence and increase the performance of his team. It is surprising how one small thing can dramatically change the other facets of the game.
