Off the rough, and no one can predict how much it will spin. I have seen some spinners (who give it a real rip), producing gun barrel straight deliveries after hitting the rough outside off, in local cricket (That is after a dozen of previous deliveries spinning like a top). When in doubt, go forward and pad is the mantra. There is always the chance that ball might bounce, hit the gloves and pop up when you start padding. But unless you are very good getting to the pitch of it, that would be always a mode of dismissal. Here, even the keeper doesn't know how much it will turn, and hence have that split of a second to recover in the case of a stumping as well.

I dont think it'll be Steyn to Pujara will make it. In the writeup for the Vaughan ball, Steyn mentioned how he thought that one was better because the one to Pujara was fuller and was a bit easier to handle according to him. So who are we to disagree with the great man.
