HB, this is a serious idea, how about next time you just pretend you don't know anyone or their "bias" from the past, and if you get the urge to respond to their posts just respond to the things they actually said rather than what you think they are trying to imply based on your past impressions of that poster, and their "bias". I really think that could help forum atmosphere and could apply to a lot of people here.

Address the post, not the poster. Just my 2 cents

Nah, you were trying to justify your bias with each of those posts, its obvious to anyone who reads it but you.
Don't bother replying to me again. You're so blinded by the caricature of me you've built up in your head that you can never engage rationally with any of my posts. You're implying that I view players with a high WPM as being somehow lesser for it FFS. Despite that I've acknowledged hundreds of times that many of my favourite players fall into that category.

Whatever it takes!!!
@stephen my point is not that you are biased because of external factors. I think you have it in your head that Murali was not that good and you are going in search of points that suit that argument. I think that is true for all your posts since the topic came up. If you cannot see how the reasons you listed are all basically trying to imply what you think of certain players, then its very difficult to continue this discussion. I am not gonna respond further on this topic to you or tjb.

And @ankitj I understand what you are saying but obvious stuff is obvious. I am not very good at pretending to be anything, so I am not sure I can ignore the obvious. But I will try. :)

On a completely different note, Morne Morkel has as strong as a chance of making a Saffer ATG ODI XI as Dale Steyn, arguably stronger.

Neither played a lot did they? SA have been a bit like Aus with their bowlers in ODIs, ie. resting the best bowlers for most meaningless series and saving them for Tests or more important ODIs

Donald and Pollock are locks obviously. Would Tahir be the best SA spinner? Klusener and probably Kallis to fill out the 5th and 6th bowlers so the remaining pace spot is to be fought for between Steyn, Rabada, Ntini, Morkel etc...

Alternatively they could go with another part timer and have gun batting down to 9.

SA XI:

Gibbs
De Kock *+
Du Plessis
Kallis (6)
De Villiers
Cronje (7) (Rhodes if he's unacceptable)
Klusener (5)
Pollock (2)
Ntini (3)
Tahir (4)
Donald (1)

I can't put Amla over Gibbs. Gibbs was a much more clutch player despite Amla's statistical superiority. His innings in the 434 game goes a long way here.

I think Miller might sneak in ahead of Cronje/Rhodes by the time he's done. His stats flatter him right now but there should be a bit more substance to them if he continues to improve.
