Botham had 4 in 22 matches less than Mcgrath. So he is one up on Mcgrath.

Also Mcgrath had only 1 five wicket haul in 19 matches in Asia.

Whatever it takes!!!
Nah... that is facebook/youtube level stuff. There has been the odd one here who popped up to talk **** about Bradman but it was usually quite quickly shut down.

Also, did McGrath ever run through a side while defending a150ish total? Walsh/Ambrose and Wasim/Waqar did it several times each.

Steyn was randomly meh against England. Ambrose against India. Fun rabbit hole.
I don't hold Ambrose's lack of success against India against him in any way because they were hardly some stalwarts of playing pace bowling. Probably just a random thing and a very small sample size in his entire career. He was incredible vs. the best players of pace bowling and destroyed them over and over again dominating multiple series home and away.

Steyn's slightly less than stellar record against Australia and England is probably a more valid criticism.

Anderson and Broad's numbers in the same games make for fun reading
Amla himself would have destroyed those numbers, what was it 650/2 or something in one match?

EDIT : I noticed Anderson was playing way back in 2003 when Graeme Smith hit those consecutive double centuries haha, crazy stuff

It is not to bad against Aus... it really is the England numbers that don't look good, but lots of that has to do with him playing against Eng in his first 3 tests as an unknown youngsters still learning his trade. Was only picked again and became a regular in the squad 18 months later. Got hammered in that Eng series.

Ambrose performed against India in the only match that mattered. Those brutal deliveries against Ganguly and Azhar in the Barbados test in 1997 comes to my mind. Made crucial runs too in that match.
His record against India is a statistical anomaly.
