I know you have Kallis and Sobers but the first team's bowling still seems weak.

Tendulkar, Gilchrist, Gayle & Wasim all in greatest ODI XI

The votes are in, they have been counted and BBC Sport can now reveal the greatest one-day international XI of all time.

For the last week, readers of Sportsday Live on the BBC Sport website have been voting for the different components of the team from a list of players nominated by the Test Match Special team.

The only criterion we set was that the players must have appeared in a one-day international. Performances in World Cups did not carry any extra weight.

That squad is broken down into opening batsmen, middle-order batsmen, all-rounders, wicketkeepers, pace bowlers and spin bowlers.

Tens of thousands of votes were received and the results were revealed on Monday night's Tuffers and Vaughan Show and then discussed by former England players Michael Vaughan and Ashley Giles, and ex-Australia bowler Jason Gillespie.

And the 'Tens of thousands of votes' gave...

01. Sachin Tendulkar
02. Chris Gayle
03. Brian Lara
04. Viv Richards
05. AB De Villiers
06. Adam Gilchrist
07. Jacques Kallis
08. Shane Warne
09. Wasim Akram
10. Brett Lee
11. Glenn McGrath

Quite a nice team overall. Gayle might not be everyones favourite to open, but he would certainly give the innings an explosive start. Jacques Kallis at No.7 is an interesting idea, and one that would probably work due to Kallis' cool head. Really like Lara at No.3, but would have preferred Dhoni in the middle-order. Gilchrist is hardly a disaster though

Dhoni?

Don't know enough about Wasim and Garner's fielding to comment on that. Also I assume Warne is a specialist in the slips? Seems a waste. He was mediocre elsewhere in the field, and you usually have a slip in place for less than half the innings of an ODI. Rather pick Murali, he was a pretty good outfielder.

Dhoni keeping and middle order bat. Maybe not the greatest keeper but he is ok and he adds heaps with the bat. Could open with Gilchrist and just drop Gibbs down the order or replace him with Collingwood or Harper

Wasim was a gun fielder, really good at mid on/off or in the outfield. Very good at hitting the stumps.

Garner was quite possibly the best gully fielder I've seen.

Warne in the slips, but he wasn't bad elsewhere. Don't really need Murali in the outfield with all the other guys.
