The ATG Teams General arguing/discussing thread

Its a Very Good Team but only problem they have no left handed batsmen apart from Gilly, so who will be the Captain ?
Bradman captains. I’m not going to put in a clearly inferior batsman just because they’re a leftie. Besides, the only one who would fit is Border and he’d bat at 6 alongside Gilly anyway.

Also for the Windies/Asia side, Sanga should probably bat ahead of Sobers. He has no lower order experience or success, whilst Sobers has plenty.

Man appreciate the effort and let me know how it truly feels to have a match between these 2 Teams. Any changes to Venues or players give your suggestions and thoughts.
I'd love to see the series between Pakistan and India. I wish someone would Sim it.

I'd also enjoy seeing the pinkies vs the rest but presume that goes the way of Bradmans team as there is not enough Indian grounds to tilt it.

Great player, too bad he didn’t get more time. Probably a better bat than Kallis but didn’t get enough time to show it, and Kallis is very valuable as a 5th bowler. Don’t think he fits as well in that XI.

Steve Waugh scored 42.03 Runs per Innings
Allan Border scored 42.20 Runs per Innings
Wally Hammond scored 51.80 Runs per Innings
Steve Smith scored 52.52 Runs per Innings

I will go with @Coronis suggestion

Kallis and Steyn are literally from Africa. Their parents were from Africa.

I think you have good intentions in trying to create two balanced teams but it's getting a bit... racial and weird.
If you feel the topic is a bit sensitive then we can divide the 8 Teams into 4 each. I just divided the Teams based on Ethnicity and not to discriminate.

why is sir richard hadlee not in the commonwealth team?
and it is so weird to see two africans in a team labelled British XI
gordon greenidge is more british than most people on the planet
viv richards and gary sobers carry knighthoods
this team selection is dodgy

ethnicity is the dangerous line. look at your teams. they are just non-whites versus whites. dont go down that route. there is absolutely no sporting logic in your choice of players for there teams.

Yeah, but just going with the intended 4 4 split, and ignoring the names, it's fairynuff
