Except Younis Khan all other Batsmen Miandad, Abbas, Inzi, Yousuf all had a poor record against good pace attacks. Miandad struggled against Aus and WI, Abbas had a poor record against WI and NZ, Inzi and Yousuf struggled against Aus, SA. Yousuf also had poor record in India and Srilanka.
I'm aware.

must be smoking the finest weed in all of Asia to come up with not 1 but 2 silly ATG XIs like this
tbf the only really meh selection for Aus is Langer. England XI is crap though.

But it would be stronger with a couple of openers from Hobbs/Hutton/Sutcliffe. I also think you only need one of Botham/Flintoff (obviously the former) as you have Hammond as your 5th bowler. Barrington or Compton spring to mind.
Compton is overrated af. He’s basically David Warner away from England.

Trumper
Simpson
Bradman
G.Chappell
Smith
Miller/Border/Harvey
Gilchrist
Warne
Lindwall/OReilly/Davidson
Lillee
McGrath

let’s be honest, no one is beating this combo
Nah Harvey was pretty eh against the strongest teams of his time.

I quite like the dual allrounder axis of Stokes-Botham at 6 and 7, followed by a well above average #8 in Knott. Suggests that the England all-time XI could make up for a bit of the specialist skill they lose (to, say, the West Indies) by investing in batting depth and fielding.

I don't think Flintoff can make it - he is the most allround of allrounders we could pick, but it's hard to fit that sort of player into an all-time XI, just like it's hard to fit a county allrounder into tests.

Yeah I quite like Stokes and Flintoff in an England team of my time watching cricket

Cook
Trescothick
Root
Pietersen
Thorpe
Stokes
Prior
Flintoff
Swann
Broad
Anderson

Tempted to have Trott so I can avoid Root at 3.

All time it feels like you should have Knott but Ames works better

Hobbs
Hutton
Barrington
Hammond
Root
Ames
Botham
Verity (other spinners are available)
Trueman
Anderson
Barnes

Can you make a list of various ATXI playing each other in home and away format ?
Give 1 points for series victory, 0.5 for draw and 0 for loss . And post total tally . Consider only top 8 teams

For eg . Aus will defeat everyone at home and lose away to WI and IND imo . So 12/14

Fwiw I don't think any country can put out an ATG Xi that will win everywhere. For example, even though imo, Australia is the best I highly doubt they'd win in India and ditto the WI. The same applies to the other ATG XIs. Maybe it applies less so to Australia, which is why they're the best.

Pakistan ?? would lose to this World ? XI by an innings they will be crushed so much that even Kallis will win some games

As good as other ATG team are,Australia are favorites to win every where.
You ain’t gonna beat Bradman with 10 ATGs.
No they aren't. They aren't winning in India and doubtful the WI. The caveat you're missing, is that they have to use the same team worldwide. Assuming Oz uses the following team:

Simpson
Morris
DON
Smith
Chapell
Miller
Gilchrist +
Warne
Lillee
O'Reilly
McGrath

Vs

Gavaskar
Sehwag
Dravid
Sachin
Kohli
Pant+
Jadeja
Dev
Ashwin
Kumble
Bumrah

On paper, Australia has the better team but they aren't winning in India. At least two of their bowlers would be neutralized by Indians spin playing ability and the Lillee is unproven in Asia. The batting is another story altogether.....

It depends on if the umpires are also from Pakistan and if bottle caps are allowed.

Harry Brook averages 93 in Pakistan, so pick him instead of Border. Also the great Simon Doull averages 17 with the ball there, so should take the new ball instead of Malcolm Marshall.
