When the OP was made, he was averaging 59 for the year tbf (down to 53 now). I thought he was worse, but his bad tests from the India series were last year. 4 and a bit tests though, which imo put him below players with a similar record over more tests

I just saw that he made 55 and 36 at the gabbatoir.
TBF he hasn't played a memorable knock this year and his scores didn't have much of an impact either. I'd rather have Fawad over him.

Yeah, sometimes I tend to go by the world class player over number of games rule... If you establish a cutoff of 5 games I guess it does make sense why Pat is out.
